A great song performed on Sept 10, 2005, in Portland, Oregon, shortly after Katrina wiped out New Orleans. I believe this gig was an afterparty show for MusicFest Northwest 2005. It was the first time I had heard any of James Hall's music. I was blown away. I was asleep in the green room when i first heard the opening chords to "Revolution In Red". It was about 5:00 in the morning. I think its kind of funny that the time accidently ended up on the tape. That is actually the correct time!

I was at this show, having worked at James' performance at Mississippi Studios the night previous. It was worth out, and I went out and bought or ordered all his albums after meeting and seeing him that weekend.
Thanks for your comment. This show was unbelievable, but I have to admit, I was so out of it at 5 a.m. that I was only any good with my camera for this song and I think one other one.
Please check out my other James Hall track from the same night. "No Future Kid". Another great performance from an excellent songwriter.
Your camerawork suits the music just fine! It's raw/rock! Besides Mr. Hall himself was a little out too I think. ;-) Years ago I bought the CD 'Pleasure Club' for a few euro's in a second-hand shop, just coz it had Geffen as a label. I found out that I had bought one of my best CD's ever. So strange that this guy didn't become more popular. Accidently I ran into this video and it gave me memories. Now the CD is in the car-player again and I'm loving it. Thx!
