In my experience of teaching, I've found myself encouraging my students to save more of their money as they grow older, because our current Social Security system is not projected to be able to support them when they enter it. The only thing I can tell them is that politicians are afraid to touch Social Security because it is the dreaded "third rail" of politics. If you touch it, you die. My question therefore is this: if elected, what will you do immediately to fix our social security in our country?
