ANZAC model jet meeting in Tokoroa 2008

This is the annual ANZAC RC model jet flier's meeting held every year in Tokoroa New Zealand.

This year the weather went from tropical downpour, to gale-force winds, to beautiful sunshine, all in a very short space of time.

But that's no problem for the hardy Kiwis who won't let a little thing like weather stop them from flying.

the weather was way to windy. its true you need to fly in wind but with jets its safe not to exceed a 10mph crosswind. you have gear that cost 1000 to 2000 dollars why risk breaking them or destroying them over a windy day. you can see the wind was eating them up...
