Story Salon Group Song on the Spot.wmv

A unique collaboration! A song from out of nothing and nowhere!
In case the video explanation isn't clear, here's what happened.
As soon as people started showing up at the Coffee Fix for the weekly Story Salon meeting on Oct. 5, 2011, I started soliciting "random sentences" from these good folks. I encouraged specific rhyming but did not explain my intention. As soon as I felt I had enough raw material I fled to the parking lot and the cramped quarters of my car.
As the storytelling show proceeded inside the Fix, I feverishly worked on the task of organizing a few dozen unrelated lines and setting these "lyrics" to music. Since there would be neither time nor resources to write the music in sheet music form, once I settled on the chords and melody I had to quickly memorize them.
Halfway through the show I entered the Fix through the back door and reported to Story Salon creator Beverly Mickins that I was ready to go.
So there you have it. Music by me. Words by at least twenty different people!
