  • stangely enough, my school's Chordsmen sang this for their spring concert few years back

  • @KMxJainaLeighxKM I don't find it strange, as I think that it was a good idea.Hope that it worked out for him.

  • This version for radio is a little down-tempo and the arrangement has been made more campfire than forecastle. And it is missing the bass riff from Thurl Ravenscroft.

  • @carbunicle I have all three version, and the one one the movie is indeed more uptempo due to his performace.Yes the deep voice adds a lot to the song. Thanks for stopping by... :)

  • this song is engraved in my mind from listening to the disney cd too much as a child :D ... no regrets.

  • It is impossible not to like this song (it's infectious),and seeing Kirk Douglas performing the song in the movie is so much fun.His actions add flavor to the song. Thanks for sharing with us,and thanks for stopping by... :)

  • "eat your pudding, Mr Land.."

  • Does anyone knows the name of this song in portuguese?

  • it's always great when you hear actors not best renown for their musical talents. It's usually pretty bad. Kirk is the exception this is bloody good. He sang a song in the Western Man Without A Star and he was just as good then. I'm surprised he didn't do more.

  • @Tehweirdkat LISTEN TO KIIIIIIIRRRK!!!....listen to kirk.

  • Murdoc niccals brought me here... On his pirate radio. He said "MURDOCS GOT A STORY FOR YAH! "

  • I love this song!
