Awesome idea - integrating the theology of hope and social action! I'm a psychology major and I find it crucial to address human interaction with Christianity and the hope we gain therein and how they function hand-in-hand. Great message, brother in Christ!
I enjoyed this... Its a great conversation starter. Keep up the work. Its exciting to see someone of my age offering something, that is within christian theology, worth contemplating.
As a lutheran I think theology of hope is preaching the law. Where is the gospel the good news to those who does not have the energy and the power to identify with the the suffering? Is theology of hope a theology for the strong individual?
I agree with most of what you're saying, but only in the sense that the story of Jesus is simply a metaphor for hope, and not that which objectively brings us hope and salvation; though I do think that in order to reap the benefits of Christian hope, you have to believe the story of Christ as objectively true. It is a nice metaphor though. I just don't agree with the premise. I also had to listen to it twice, and still didn't understand all of it, but I'll probably come back. Cheers.
