HIT UP http://EricWongMMA.com YO!

I made this video for 2 reasons:

a) I just did a sprint workout with my fiancee a couple days ago
b) A newsletter subscriber asked me to do a video on sprint technique

That's what I do on my Wednesdays - make instructional videos for my newsletter subscribers. :)

One of the philosophies I share is that if you're going to do something, you might as well learn how to do it well...

You don't have to be top 1% in the world in everything you do, but be in the 10th percentile of most things you do.

That ensures that you're always growing... because if you're not growing, you're dying... in life, there is no such thing as staying still.

If you're staying still, the world around you is changing, which means you're not adapting, and as such, you're falling behind.

So choose something at all times that you're improving upon in your life, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual.

I genuinely enjoyed making this video for you... I'd like to make more - if you want more, let me know by hitting 'Like' below or sharing it with your friends via email or Facebook.

Thanks for checking this out, I'll talk to you soon. For more details check out the page on my blog at: http://ericwongmma.com/sprint-training-technique-tips-for-max-speed-power/

  • I picked up loads of tips from this video. Keep it up, Eric! What work-rest ratio do you normally prescribe for your MMA athletes?

  • @clementinho04... honestly it depends on what we're trying to work. Not everyone needs the same work:rest ratio. Just some examples: lactic endurance/recovery = 60s:30-60s... alactic power = 10-15:90-120... One blanket statement can't do the human body's complexity justice. :)

  • i love sprinting

and martin rooney says that it is important

but WHAT ARE the REASONS ?

powerful legs, less fat, speed and what else?

  • @TheBTHONG, all of the above, as well as improved core stability and strength, cardiovascular power and we can nit pick and add tons of things but there's no reason NOT to sprint!

  • is it me or is the sound messed up?

Thank you for the video Eric and keep up the good work!

  • @BobJackson76 I think it's you! :)

  • u should be a running trainer

  • ccccccccccccccooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll kinda

  • @BobJackson76 Almost all the sound is focused on the left side of the headphone, if that's what you mean.

  • @ericwongmma is sprinting once a week enough? I jog 2 times for 45 min plus sprinting one time a week

  • lovin the e-book

  • Eric, I am thinking of taking up sprinting to lose a few really stubborn pounds around my belly. How do I choose shoes for that? Can you please make a detailed video? Thanks. O btw. this video is great. did learn a few new things, esp abt negative footspeed! GJ

  • Thumbs up!!! It is really really REALLY helpful!!!!!

  • Hey Eric i wanna talk about the butt kick technique u just mentioned... THATS WRONG. the actual key to sprinting faster is "running over ur knee", in other words lifting ur knees up higher because that increases the stride and forces you to run through the ground instead of on the ground, thus making u faster
