@miked31784 Thanks, Mike. Like @aspieresearchmom said, I think an Aspie girl is the best choice for a lot of Aspie guys (myself included).
You got it right when you said, it's probably best to first focus on being friends and not get fixated on finding a girlfriend. That's how it works for most people, NT and Aspie. Socialize in any small way you can and build from there. Over time things will develop naturally and you will see how you feel and if a romantic relationship will work. Good luck!

Mike, my son has an Asperger's girlfriend, they understand each other totally, he found her at a group therapy for young adult Asperger's at a neuropsychologist's office. He belongs to adult Asperger's social group too and socialized with her there for two years and then asked her for a date...the rest is history! . She is his first and only girlfriend :)
