  • ...fail.

  • 5-2 is a 3-4 disguise

  • @ChargersLVII u right

  • @nbamario

It depends on who you have, really.

I've played in a 5-2 defense before, for one whole season and part of another

It really depends on the personnel

For example, one year we had two 220-pound d-ends who liked to passrush, and we just didn't drop them back. If we needed to switch to a 4-3, we just made our NG play MLB

The second season, we had smaller, containment ends that had formerly been outside linebackers. In that situation, they played contain, or dropped into coverage.

It depends on who you have, really.

  • @ChargersLVII well say its five WRS and its 4 DBS and 1 LB u play man 2 man and that means there is a 0ne linebacker free 2 blitz and plus the 0line can't bl0ck a fat n0se tackle and 2 fat DT

  • ChargerLVII in the 5-2 defense not all the linemen blitz on every play. The ends are responible for containment, and making sure the tight ends don't get out cleanly.

  • If you've got 5 linemen, why would you NEED to blitz? :P

  • if you do that the offense knows your linebackers are blitzing and the qb can call an audible to tear apart the secondary
