i remember this video as a 5,6 years old girl. now (as 35) i see it really defined what i was going to like in my life; what kind of men, what kind of music, what i think is cool .. i loved the way he looked, danced (i was always dancing like that) and this song was my favorite for many years .. it had a kind of great impact on my life - i realized this today, on David's 65th birthday ... 65?!?!?!?! when the hell did that happen?!?!? HAPPY BIRTHDAY, THE KING OF HEROES!!

@jono16345 MTV started broadcasting August 1, 1981. Blue Jean was on Bowies album, released September 1, 1984 and the video was released the same month. But I agree with you, it´s a shame that MTV has turned from being a pure music channel to - well, what can you call it today? Pure crap?
