  • There IS a roof that gets put on in the Fall to extend the driving season 'til the first snow.

  • did you flip the tranny upside down, or did you turn it around? how did you solve linkage issues? I am planning on putting a VW Pointer (South American car) in my bug to make it mid engine, The Pointer tranny engine seem perfect since the car is front wheel drive, but it's not the regular setup, this particular car has a longitudinal engine tranny setup.

  • @rayvdub It's not upside down, just turned around. Then the ring gear set is flipped to the opposite side to keep the direction of rotation correct. The shifter and linkage are Jamar, which is readily available and works very well. I'll subscribe to your page so if you get into that project of yours I'll be able to check it out.

  • Aircooled for life

  • @rayvdub YESSSS!!!

  • Great looking chassis. I bet that's going to be a blast to drive.

  • Everything looks fine, except 1 thing, it needs a bonnet. other than that.. NICE!!!!!

  • Sweet Ride!!!

  • @mragonese Thank you for the ouick response . The Daasher is ready made for mid engine and your Link/Torque tube looks the best application for me. After more research I found a site devoted to this linkage, The Samba was helpful also . You do good work I enjoy your submissions.
