People buy into "buy this vibrating belt and you'll be slim and sexy too" and this is not that different. If they are targeting that demographic, then yes, they have probably succeeded. And there is likely a huge market for that.

As a woman who enjoys sports, this ad probably would not work for the athletic women demographic because we tend to look for comfort, durability, keeping our feet dry, etc. more than "all I have to do is wear this shoe and walk around and my ass will get toned".

Just what we need, more people thinking that wearing a shoe or belt is going to make you toned, instead of actually working out.
