  • @milodara93 Bengals have recorded heavier weights in the wild (specimen of 389 kg has been weighed, but it was not scientifically verified). Siberians average, as of today, 182 - 185 kg, and the heaviest adult captured by the Siberian tiger project was 220 kg, while the heaviest accurate weight of these animals in the wild was up to 320 kg. Jaipur was obese.

  • @milodara93 Very few Bengal tigers have reached 600 lbs in the wild. The heaviest recorded was 261 kg. 2 tigers did bottom out a scale of 272 kg capacity, but they also had some stomach content. The highest average for Bengal tigers was 221 kg (Chitwan). An average over 490 lbs does not exist, and certainly not one of 550 lbs. I have every modern document published on the subject, man.

  • @brentlion Now for the Amur tiger. It's the largest non-hybrid cat in the world. The biggest one ever recorded in the wild reached 845 pounds. While the average weight for male Siberian tigers is 300-600 pounds the biggest recorded captive Siberian tiger, named "Jaipur", weighed 1025 pound.

  • @brentlion The Bengal tiger has a wide range of size variations. The tigers of southern India and the Sunderbans, are somewhat smaller than those of the regions north, as northern India, Assam, Nepal. The tigers of the south average around 435 pounds for males, 295-330 for females, while the northern variety of Bengals average around 490-550 pounds for males, females 325-350. Many of them have topped up to 600.

  • @milodara93 Incorrect, man. The overall average for the Bengal population was 196.5 kg, and for lions it was 183.3 kg........182 - 185 kg for Siberian tigers. The Bengals were slightly heavier due to a higher food intake.

  • @brentlion Bengal tiger = 420-570 Siberian tiger = 550-690 African lion 420-550

  • @Naturalhit But indeed, people need to just appreciate both big cats and enjoy them while we have them. Peace and thanks for the good debate, it's nice to have a conversation with someone who isn't simply replying with idiotic insults all the time.

  • @Naturalhit I try not to get caught up in this ridiculous debate but it's hard to see one getting bashed sometimes. I feel that both the Lion AND Tiger deserve an equal amount of respect. And I'll just say this, people always say that Lions were born to fight as if Tigers don't grow up fighting too. Tigers aren't merely hunters, Tigresses must protect their cubs on their own while Lionesses have the support of a Pride, territorial Tiger fights often end in death, while Lion fights rarely do.

  • @ThaOneChrisJONES continue... say don't get caught up with this Lion vs. Tiger thing. To me Lions were born fighters because of their big shoulders and large ribcage and their mane ofcourse. Tigers were born hunters because of their stripes and long body tht make them strong and fast... up to 60mph. Any ... Just enjoy them while we still have them.

Peace to you bro. I'm done.
