Fear 101: The Three Levels of Fear

This is an encapsulation of "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" by Susan Jeffers. Self-help books are not my cup of tea, but three different people suggested I begin with it. The idea that you can categorize fears is comforting, in that it suggests we have the upper hand by being able to shuffle them like a frikkin' deck of cards.

Interesting to me only that most of the fears I have are in the "second level"- threats to my ego, so says Jeffers. It makes me want to learn more about the nature of "ego". I wish I saved my notes from Mr. Campbell's 7th grade class. He had us all read "I'm Okay, You're Okay"...

  • "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" by Susan Jeffers is one of the best books I've ever read. It should be given to all young people to read.

  • Yeah, what I got out of it is in this vid, from the first couple of chapters. The rest of the book seemed to support those firt few chapters and I was already convinced.

Thanks so much for the comment! I agree! That gives me an idea for my curriculum!

  • This is so well done. Wonderful editing!!! You'll see my response to your other video there on where I accidentally put my "Fear" video...sorry about that!

  • It's all good. It's all about fear, so it all looks like it fits ;-)

  • i definitely hope I don't have to face any demons. . . that's for sure.

  • Uh, apparently from your vids, you are-like, the DEMON-ATOR!! Ya know, we're all slowly dying- that's just the science of US. But very few of us have that thrown in our faces or have it following us around on a regular basis. Maybe I assume too much, but that sounds like a big-ass demon to me.

  • I try not to look at DM that way. LOL But thanks. I think. I meant actual demons... or poltergeists even. :) My next vid will be about when I fell in love with a satanist. It was crazay.
