It always broke my heart how Steve struggled with wearing the patch but I loved that Kayla was finally able to show him that the patch didn't matter to her and that she loved him for the man he was on the inside as well as the outside.

It was always interesting to me in these early days how when Steve would daydream about him and Kayla being together that he never had a patch. It killed my heart to see him struggle with that. I'm glad that Kayla finally convinced him that his patch didn't matter.
