Thanx dear Miilahi for your response note.Yes you may argue about the deepness in their respective voice based on the notes of the octave but both are supreme in their own rights of their singing carrier a life devotion.

@supeer45 Thank u for your note. Lata is great, but was not able to go much above the third octave. Noor jahan is the only singer of Indo-Pak region who went to the fourth octave. Lata has admitted Noor's range as unbeatable. Otherwise all credit to Lata. best wishes.

all due respect as oldie Goldie listner, but one thing is sure..Lataji surpasses all singers in all respect.
Noror begum was a gem of the time. this song is so romantic and so touching to the heart.

Great tune made even greater by the range given by noor jahan. Her effortless range is unmatched by any other singer. To have become so good at such an early age is a miracle. She was a gift to music and now, music is an orphan waiting for another noor jahan. I am fortunate that I heard her alive in concert as well as close in a private performance.
