Yeah, the lyrics to this song are a little weird, but uh... You know, it's.... Whatever. It's 30 Seconds to Mars, and they make no sense.

@UND3ADSAMURAI Okay. Sorry, I don't like songs that have a very... obvious concept. Generally, I kind of grew out of this song and I find it's message, while there, isn't too strong. That's my opinion though.

@kingLorshi Well yeah, considering the strong meaning is the threat behind it. it is almost intimidating, if You really listen it almost sounds like he's singing about a relationship that he didn't want to end but it happened but he realizes that it was only holding him back hence "A new day is coming and I am finaly free".
