Customer Request Macros & Lucas Burnley Squid Comparison

TO NOTE: Knife people like myself sometimes forget that each knife maker is different. In this sense Peter R is new so is still learning & growing so any opinions or judgements only pertain to his progress right now. Later on things could change.

I WANT TO SEE NEW MAKERS GROW but at the same time since they are new they gota realize I am a big fan of the veteran knifemakers & the truth is newbies just suck compared to them but that's ok because people improve with time.

The peter r knife is for sale. Personally not enough for me. I'm not fully behind his stuff at this moment in time but would like to still sell them if I know the guy isn't gona trip out if I have some hits on his stuff.

You know Strider's upset at me LOL but still gota point out that a strider is much more better F&F overall so for the price the peter r is kinda high

Next is why do newbies sell their stuff for as high or higher than the pros? I don't think that's right especially with all the flaws. John W. Smith stuff is very high fit & finish yet affordable. Same with Les George etc. If a new maker wants to charge high because he feels that a lot of labor went into it to me the quality & skill is what you're paying for not the labor. That should be considered an investment into one's experience in knife making not pass onto the customer just because it was hard for the rookie to do it.

AGAIN I'm saying this in general the vid isn't about Peter R but PR people are starting to make a fuss which only causes me to respond here.

Very cool Burnley. I've come across one that's hardly been used for $400. I'm contemplating it pretty heavily.

@victorinoxfan i think its worth it man. that's just me though. theyre just made so well. definitely a luxury item & for folks that aren't all super serious & silly about what knives they own but I think that if it does everything a "normal" needs throughout the day people should lighten up. This one is very well made. I just sold my stock & I'm keeping one for mel

Im a big fan of Peter R's knives. Ive seen a few of them on blade forums. He has some great designs.

I was so close to pulling the trigger, but literally 2 minutes after posting that comment, a knife that I've been searching for like two months came up. I just jumped on that. Thankfully Burnley has a forum on USN. So his stuff pops up from time to time at good deals.
