As i said, I have no problem with songs that are slightly happier than the rest of the soundtrack, but that ending theme doesn't fall into my taste.
As seen in the link above, it clearly shows you can make a satisfying ending song without making it sound like something from Power Rangers.

@R3troguy Ok, but from the player's perspective, they have just completed one of the scariest and cutting-edge video games of it's time. So a credit theme that's uplifting does the job.

The song is just out of proportion to the rest of the game.
I have no problem with slightly happier songs than normal, but this is just sunshine and rainbows.
Besides, not everyone survives in the end.

@R3troguy Now that just sounds emo. This game was once the scariest game of all time, and to have completed this game and hear that credits theme gave u a real sense of achievement of overcoming fear. Cause it was too damn a scary to play at times !!!

@darkandlight64 are you idiot or something? now, i'm agree with saying that resident evil is one of the best horror games ever made but, come on, let's face it! silent hill is far more scary, more obsessive and frightening....there's no match!

This song just sounds unfitting for the ending.
It's not all happy sunshine and rainbows.
It should be slightly more melancholic.
