Shipwreck and Sgt. Slaughter are hard at work at the headquarters console, watching some Jeopardy! and sleeping.
Shipwreck gets a question right and rubs it in a little, but Slaughter isn't having any of that. It's on.
Bazooka walks in and breaks up as a call comes in from Duke. Duke reports that Frostbite and Snow Job have been missing for some time. He needs a search party formed to go look for them.
Duke informs Shipwreck that he will not be able to attend the weekly poker party at Beachhead's house, as his assignment is keeping him in the arctic longer.
See the G.I. Joe Adventure Playlist to watch them in order.
Director Commentary:
This is the first full stop motion scene attempted.
It starts with a carefully chosen clip of Jeopardy!. I needed a sequence where Sgt. Slaughter could get one right, then get one wrong and have Shipwreck get it right. The whole point of the beginning was to use the 'turnin green' line and have Slaughter do some wrestling moves.
The wrestling is mostly trickery. When Slaughter is choking Shipwreck, I had detached Slaughters arms so I could get a POV shot looking at Shipwreck.
After which I could actually get to some plot, where Duke would request somebody to look for Frostbite and Snow Job as well as introduce the concept of the poker party.
you did not make this
