  • @ichabod722 Gee, I guess you must be a proponent of idiotism then. If we can change the dictionary to include urban slang, you'll have to get over it. It's idiotism.

  • @KingSkullfuck

I believe I effectively handled your initial objection in my 1st paragraph.

Perhaps you should actually read it...

    Just sayin

  • @KingSkullfuck

By the middle of the 19th century, the theory of biogenesis had accumulated so much evidential support, due to the work of Louis Pasteur and others, that the alternative theory of spontaneous generation had been effectively disproven. The collapse of spontaneous generation, however, left a vacuum of scientific thought on the question of how life had first arisen.

  • @jrichard1977 As someone who also watched Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, I would recommend that people watch this for comedic value and the cringe effect. Ben Stein's lack of scientific knowledge is astounding, and the fact that he feels his ignorance should be given equal weight to tried, tested, peer reviewed papers on theories that have mountainous piles of scientific evidence to support them is laughable. So as a horror/comedy... 3 stars. The script was good, but Ben Steins acting...

  • @ichabod722 There is no such thing as Darwinism, same as there is no such thing as Newtonianism, Einsteinism, or Hawkingism. The theory of evolution by natural selection makes no claims about the origin of life, it just attempts to explain the variety of life.

  • Oh, I see. We are just to accept "there IS no evidence" because you told us to? LOL This is the whole problem with Darwinism. Yes, If we can change the dictionary to include urban slang, you'll just have to get over it. It's Darwinism.

Seriously, though. THIS IS EXCITING! You have found PROOF of life from non-life?

    ...of sentience from non-sentience?

    ,,,of inter-species evolution?

You are now eligible for every award and acknowledgment the scientific community has ever come up with!

  • @jrichard1977 Small problem with what you are saying, there IS no evidence for intelligent design, all the best cases they had were completely refuted like shooting fish in a barrel in court.

And there is no such thing as Darwinism, the last time that term would have had any meaning was back before Mendelian Genetics was incorporated into Darwin's Theory and when LaMarkian Evolution was still kicking around.

It's a relic term which no longer applies, just like "micro/macro evolution"

  • @Eaglesfaninca

The key gist of the movie is that we, as Americans should have the right to FREEDOM OF INQUIRY, and scientists should NOT be discriminated against if evidence they find leads them to theorize outside of Darwinism.

  • @Eaglesfaninca As someone who watched, "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed", I would have to HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching it. It is very important that people have an opportunity to question the institutions and theories we have today that are controversial, especially Darwinism and the theories that address our origins, INCLUDING Intelligent Design.

  • As someone who watched "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" I would have to say don't waste your money /or time.

Stein doesn't even attempt to put forth evidence for ID, he merely makes the ridiculous assumption that The theory of Evolution lead to the holocaust and Communism.

    0 out of 5 stars.
