A vid for those who never made it back. We have seen their faces so much in all the videos that have been made I decided to take a different perspective. If I were to die in combat, this would be the song I would want at my funeral. (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=18539428192)

The song is called Sgt MacKenzie(I have called the video "Lay Me Doone"), which Joseph MacKenzie wrote in memory of his great-grandfather, Charles Stuart MacKenzie, a sergeant in the Seaforth Highlanders, who along with hundreds of his brothers-in-arms from the Elgin-Rothes area in Moray, Scotland went to fight in the Great War. Sergeant MacKenzie was bayoneted to death at the age of 35, while defending one of his badly injured fellow soldiers in the hand-to-hand fighting of the trenches.

  • Raise a glass for those who never made it back.

Fight hard boys, your families waiting for you in this life or the next

Fight hard boys, the dreams and hopes of those you protect are on the line

Fight hard boys, though the road you walk is paved in blood, Hold your heads high

God Speed to you all, well be waiting with a stiff drink and should you not return you'll be remembered in us.

So raise a glass for those who never came home and never forget why they walked that hard road -God Bless
