Good answer to bowlineobama, I like that. The Canadian Jam Knot got me out of some trouble today in the Canadian bush! Lost a large allen bolt on my ATV fairing and the thing was bouncing around something fierce and guess who popped into my head? Iawoodsman and his Canadian jam knot. It made a perfect temporary mend with metal to metal and didn't bounce an millimeter after cinched down. Thanks for your great instruction.

@bowlineobama When I was taught this knot it was referred to as a Canadian Jam. I don't need to look up any thing.
