This stretch is designed to stretch the low back and upper gluteus medius musculature. The stretch also corrects for a pelvis that is superior, or "pulled up" on one side.
I found this really helpful for on-going hip pain that Ive had to diagnose as gluteus medius tightness myself. My doctor really wasnt interested as I have full rotation in the hip and physio/actupuncture has had limited success. Thanks.
