"No Particular Place To Go" was originally written by Chuck Berry as "School Day(s)" which was a hit for him in 1957. With a minor change to the arrangement and new lyrics this song was born and recorded on March 25, 1964. The song peaked at #10 during the summer of that year and was a reminder that this rock and roll legend was still around. Chuck is one of the few that was there at "the beginning" and remains with us today.
Love his out-of-tune guitar break! It works like tacked pianos found in old saloons. Gives the performance so much tension.
