Vocal Bible is a title that wasn't even bestowed upon her by her fans. It began with a songwriter who has worked with her and has seen her at work in the studio. Have you ever seen that? Most likely, you have NOT. Furthermore if you honestly believe that Brandy is "limited" in her vocal talents, then I can truly say you either don't like Brandy or you're totally unfamiliar with her artistry. Hit singles don't determine your legacy, it's how you use your gifts, which she's done quite remarkably.

even before janet jackson and whitney houston, tina turner and diana ross had major success in other forms of media. both artists had appeared in movies as early as the 1960s/70s and diana was nominated for an academy award for "lady sings the blues" in 72.

Janet set the tone for her own career. Yes, she's a Jackson and was HEAVILY influenced by Michael, but she is her own artist. Her accomplishments and her contribution to music SHE did that. She has influenced many of today's artists. She even proved (with the Scream song/ short film) that she could NOT be overshadowed by Michael. Many people believe that Janet was more consistent musically than Michael was. But you didn't hear that from me!!!!XD Janet has had a long career and did her thing.
