The beer is named after the historical figure Plin-ee not Ply-nee as stated on the label. Kevinmorriss has it right.
If it's mispronounced as Ply-nee by anyone, including Vinnie, it's not named after the historical Plin-ee.
Can't have it both ways. Claim to name it after the Roman Pliny and mispronounce the name.
