this is beautiful..it shows femininity..it is entertainment and culture. the only ones who view it as a dirty thing is the filthy mind of certain viewers. it can be sexy, it can be full of life w movements that may intrigue many and find appealing or sexual, but it is based on interpretation. as a married woman, i know that if i give it a twist, i can flirt with my husband and intimately make it more sexual. but to say that this is anything but culture, art and dance is to have a filthy mind!

@sandravokk It is not about costumes. And it is not "erotic" in that sense. Not degrading. Wife does it because she feels like it.

Guys do their thing too. If you have been in a party or a wedding you may have seen it. Same in private. Again it is not about being erotic. As for me, I am not very good. But, at least it makes wife laugh.

Yes, it is a form of expression. Sometimes it is a household activity where everyone joins in (that is how the kids learn). But sometimes in private wife may decide to express a different sentiment.

I think that in the middle east we look at it in a different view that does not involve any guilt or degradation. We grew with it and it is natural.
