  • Just for the record, I AM IN FAVOR OF RESPONSIBLE ARMS OWNERSHIP. When you purchase a "gun" YOU are responsible for it's safety.

  • In addition, I would like to believe that if an invading force were to enter the U.S. that the government, would supply and train any man, woman, or child who requested it.

  • a "firearm" requires combustion to operate. according to your definition, a super soaker, paintball marker or similar device is a firearm.

  • in the strictest sence of the word yes, however, i have turrned a supersoker in to a flame-thrower and a have fired ballbearrings from a paintball marker. In some states, mine included, a crossbow is considered a fire-arm because it fires a projectile. Then of couse you have to be 18 to buy these items except for the supersoker and gasoline.

  • True if more people were trained in gun safety there would be less gun related accidents... not to mention gun locks for guns in homes with small children. Those opposed to gun locks and have small kids deserve to have their progeny offed.

  • If Obama is elected again most of our guns and ammunition will be gone!!!

  • i agree with you but i think that we should be allowed to own full automatics because its a why not thing. Collectors and what not would want them and gun enthuisests and target shooters may want them for the fun of it. Also, i think its pretty stupid that we can't hunt with cross bows either.

  • "Arms are also.. canons."

Thanks to Scalia & Co's re-writing of the Second Amendment, individuals have the right to carry canons for traditional purposes like self defence and hunting. It's what the Founders meant.... Honestly..... Truely...... No doubt about it...

  • All human situations have their inconveniences. We feel those of the present but neither see nor feel those of the future; and hence we often make troublesome changes without amendment, and frequently for the worse. Benjamin Franklin

  • If you believe in people being responsible in the ownership of the firearms they purchase. Why shouldn't the People as a whole be able to purchase them. One of the biggest reasons for the second article of the Bill of Rights was for the people to be the Military (Militia) due to the possibility of future tyrants. No matter how omnipotent a government may seem, there will always be people who seek power. People like Hitler, Stalin, and the like. Here is as likely a place as any to come to power.

  • I disagree - how many active members of the United States Military are there? How many of those are actual combat soldiers and not in support roles? Now, how many CITIZENS of this country are there? WE HAVE THE POWER - It is time that we stand up and TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK! Either by voice or by force - we either take our Nation back from the Socialist forces looking to dissolve our Rights or the America we know and love will be nothing more than a footnote in the History Books.

  • the only thing i dont agree with you on is that the state nor the govenment are going to give us a automatic weapon if we needed it. but i dont want one. i just want my rights just like you. and one of the right is to keep and bear arms so i can keep the rest of my rights....

  • i had to memorise all of the first 10

    seriously

    i can still recite them

    but i'd rather not lol

  • "I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them." -George Mason, during Virginia's Convention to Ratify the Constitution (1788).

  • If you wait until the enemy has invaded then you have waited far too long.
