I forgot the smaller fighter who lost this fight Kancho Kenji Midori the head of shinkyokushin to Shihan Masuda went on to win the 5th World open knockdown Kyokushin karate tournament beating Shihan Masuda in the final
kyokushin is a traditional hard karate style derived from shotokan and Goju ryu.Mas Oyama always believed that Karate is just a dance with out full contact.Kyokushin Students are always have to train hard. Kyokushin karate also train punching to the head goshin jitsu selfdence and bunkai understanding the techniques in kata.Everybody from Kancho,Shihan,Sensei,Sempai and kohai understand the meaning of Osu in Kyokushin kai karate.
i understand your opinion,as a matter of fact many years ago before i trained in full contact martial arts i was sharing your thoughts.But it's real karate. The founder himself even trained in shotokan for several years before making the switch to goju ryu and then finding his own kyokushin.
i admit some matches indeed look like a mess its just punching punching punching without technique and some kicks in between.But also many others where you can see great technique and variety
@FaridYM yes i'm scared.....you can bring two people and say fight, that's the same, no strategy, just kicks and punches, looks like valetudo......i was been italian champion of shotokan in 2007 ok it's a completely different style, but we got some rule to follow.....here the bigger one win, that's why i've said that's only a mess, but it's my opinionXD
@shieijyuku1 Stupid comment. i'm a taekwondo fighter, and even my taekwondo teacher learned karate before taekwondo... taekwondo, karate, judo, it's all the same philosophy....

@QWiZdaWisE
try it yourself then....there's a reason that other karate styles can't compete with Kyokushin.....they're scared to do full contact
