The Hills Recap and The City Preview
Even though most watchers of The Hills will report that absolutely nothing happens from episode to episode, pay close attention because were going through a Season-4 recap.
So Lauren Conrad obviously stayed at the focus of the show; however, the audience really got to know the other reality peeps a bit more as well. One friendship triangle got created - and then broken - between Lauren and fellow housemates, Lo and Audrina. Then there was also a friendship square-of-some-sort involving Lauren, Heidi, Spencer and his sister, Stephanie. The younger sis chose to be friends with fellow fashion school classmate Lauren over staying true to the fam.
You also notice that Heidi gets a little bit sad to not be friends with old-gal-pal Lauren, especially when Heidis sister moves to LA and calls up Lauren, and talks begin regarding rekindling an old friendship.
Oh and we cant forget the love triangle. Lauren goes out with high-school friend Doug, it doesnt work out and then Stephanie secretly goes out to dinner with the guy when Lauren is overseas. Plus, theres some craziness at house parties and in Vegas you know the drill.
So what did all of these friendship foes and love woes mean? A handful of confrontations and cry-out sessions, ultimately, leading to more confusion as to where each person stands with every other person.
Of course, Lauren is still working in fashion with Whitney at Peoples Revolution. This is probably the least dramatic part of the reality show. But MTV producers are stepping it up and creating drama around Whitney by launching a brand new reality show. Whitney is the Lauren of The City. Yup, The City is the name of the new pilot and shooting is happening pronto reportedly its been happening since August. The spin-off is all about Whitney Ports fresh New York City lifestyle. She graduates from her LA days in p-r and jet-sets to the Big Apple for taking on Diane Von Furstenburg.
And in order for The City to be as successful as The Hills, a new set of friends must be added to the equation. Media is reporting that someone named Samantha, a manager at Bergdorf Goodman, is a sure-fire shot to stir-up some drama on the latest MTV reality show. The City will start airing in early 2009.
