Madden 12: New Year, Same BS

Madden 12 just released this past Tuesday with the notion of everything being, "True to the Game." Obviously, this is not the case as we see in this video. This play involves me playing a franchise game vs the Chicago Bears. McNabb got hurt so Christian Ponder enters the game on 3rd and 5. Looking to convert I try to check the ball down to Toby Gerhart. It looks like it will be complete, but then Julius Peppers defies all that defines logic...

NOTE* Yes I know this isn't a full screen video! I am college student and I am too broke to afford video capture cards and/or a full HD camera. So I used my I pod touch camera.

a few observations about your complaints

1) your QB was in a throwing motion so i would expect the DE to jump

2) the invisible wall EA must of took a page out of treyarchs book of bs on that

3) your WR can be tackled as the ball was tipped <-- i know not really but the game thinks so

4) the warped catch animation another EA bad

so by my count you have 2 viable complaints and 2 that are not

Should the play have even happened in the first place though? It is clear to me that this is a completed pass if the laws of the universe aren't broken.

Also, the slow replay doesn't do justice to what happened in real time, not saying it is going to sway your opinion. If the guy is literally hanging the air for a full second when I throw the ball it is not realistic and there for a compliant.

IN all fairness.. I have no sympathy for anyone who buys madden anymore. Last year was it for me... and I shoulda never bought that one.
