That was the strangest pregame I've seen in a long time! Ambitious charting. The cannon and axe formations will get better, but spelling OSKI on the field while chanting CALI is a bit disconcerting. That flying plume is what the FA's are for. Altering the words of the SSB is tasteless, but that's not the band's fault, and by the sound of it, it has become "tradition" to the point of not being able to stop it - although nobody throws fruit at the $C or Stanfurd bands anymore...
the cal band also learns a new show every week, and plays in a stadium with spectators to the north, south, east and west. it makes shows faster to learn and spreads the sound better that way.
I'm part of the Lincoln High School band in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We're one of the top Ivory high school marching bands in the midwest. So you're saying everyone marches 8 to 5 all throughout the show?
Different bands have different styles, we typically do not march even step but march 8 per 5, therefor it is charted so that people reach their spots at different times. What band are you a part of?
lmao, "mother-f-er, mother-f-er, don't pivot late"

Why is spelling OSKI while chanting Cali disconcerting? It's the mascot..

Fun fact: Cal Band would also blow out Maryland's marching band if they ever tried to do something awesome.
