What ticket was £77? A Super Off Peak Single is £33, regular Off Peak £39, and advance fares start from as low as £11.

You know, one of the FGW bosses cheekily claimed that vintage steam-hauled charters were a reliability problem for her trains and I think that is utter bullshit. A steam charter train Bristol-Bath-London and return came in yesterday into Paddington dead on time with some fairly decent facilities, better lighting, working toilets, buffet car, and far more comfortable and better lit coaches. And you got free mince pies and mulled wine as well! Only drawback was the coaches were a bit shabby.
