Guitar: 2011 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Satin Goldtop (stock)
Mics: Sennheiser MD421, Shure SM57
DAW: ProTools 8
Amp: Bullhead Amplification-modified Blackstar HT Stage 60 2x12 combo
Mod: "Stampede Mod"
In the individual channel demos, I really didn't twiddle the knobs that much. Left everything at noon. Also, the MD421 is in the left speaker and the SM57 is in the right during the individual channel clips. Nevermind my sloppy playing; I just wanted to get this out to you ghosts and ghouls.
During the 'in the mix' clip, I recorded channel 2 for the rhythm and channel 3 for the lead. Guitars were double-tracked once and both the MD421/SM57 were on their respective L/R sides. Mixed to taste, crushed with a limiter, and spit out to the web to you. Enjoy. Post questions, comments, etc. Modifications to your personal amps is NEVER recommended and should only be done so by a qualified technician. Based out of Nashville, TN, I build tube guitar amplifiers and have been featured in the 2011 Guitar World Buyer's guide; I know what I'm doing. Don't mod your amps.
