I am sure the intentions of LBJ were good when he baked up the medi-care scheme. But the path to hell are paved with good intentions. Medi-care is a bust. One of the reasons medical costs are up is due to the fact that M.C. priced health care out of sight. Example:MC sets the bar for what a dr. charges, the dr's simply raise all prices to be in line with medi-care charges. If M.C. pays $100 for a service, the dr then charges all patients $100. Get government out of med business, now.
