Second Reagan-Mondale presidential debate 1984

I found this old recording of the Reagan Mondale presidential debate of 1984 in Kansas City, it was the second debate. It is estimating to listen to the concerns about the deficit in 1984 being $250 billion, and all the other concerns of which today we hear no mention. Something to consider while listening to today's presidential debates.

What a hypocrite. Worst President ever. Full disclosure: they all suck(ed), but Reagan was exceptionally destructive. Reagan's fiscal policy is responsible for the greatest recession in the history of the world, one for which there is little likelihood of ever fully recovering the wealth and stability of the middle class seen in the mid-twentieth century.

Reagan also both expanded government and raised the deficit to historic levels and then walked away from office with the biggest deficit ever

Reagan, of course, DID raise taxes but what the hell...he also sold arms to terrorists but...what the hell.

Actually Reagan's wit rivaled that of Lincolns. He was more of a leader than Lincoln was, though he was a decent president but not a great one. Reagan was a great president and no other modern president matches his reputation.

The US doesn't need a smiling clown for a president like Reagan. If you think Obama is bad, think again, Reagan DOUBLED the deficit. Meaning Obama would need 25 trillion dollars in debt to beat fiscally conservative Reagan.

Mondale wasn't a dummy but his political platform was weak. Gerald Dean may not have been a good running mate at that point.

Well Obama is getting alot of help from the GOP in destroying this country.
