I don't speak Icelandic very well; so, I did this vid.
Thanks to http://www.alwaysontherun.net/sigur.htm for the translation.

Where there are no lyrics presented; but, there are vocals, look to your Hopelandic ;)

Thanks to Sigur Rós for being Sigur Rós and, hopefully, not suing me.

  • Thanks for the translation! Great video. Do you happen to know what words are being sung during the chorus immediately after "Vid Spilum" (We Played)? My nieces and nephews sing this part at the top of their lungs, and since they don't know any Icelandic, they sing "Is this your crazy Uncle?". I've always wondered what was being sung there.

  • @SteveWeeksMusic omg, that made me laugh so good! 'Is this your crazy uncle?' fits so beautifully! The lyrics there are whatever fits for you...or your niecling's and nephloid's...perception. It's referred to as Vonlenska or Hopelandic and it is a form of ululation or nonsense syllables. Let them sing :)

  • Thanks for the kind words, everyone :) I'm grateful you like the vid; but, without the song, it's just some pics!

  • Awesome video. It's great having the Icelandic and English together. And the photos are great too. 5 stars.

  • Thank you for your kind words :)

  • Danke
