These statistics highlight how social media is changing the way people connect. Every day, fewer people are getting their messaging from TV, radio, print and even email. The relevant way to reach your audience using Web 2.0 is through social media like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube.

Relevant Social Media puts your messaging where your audience is. Relevant is a social media and sports marketing agency that develops, implements, tracks and analyzes online promotional campaigns for celebrity-level individuals.

  • @LarsVegas2000 Better late than never, right? The data came from "Groundswell" by Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff of Forrester Research (at the time). Pages 45-46, 53 and throughout, as well as from a chart by emarketer that is available to anyone who googles "how different generations use social media." Data was current as of June 2009.

  • I made this 2 years ago for my old company! Almost 4 thousand views... pretty cool! Thanks for watching.

  • Great video!

  • Using this video in a social media presentation today. It should be great!

  • A LOT LIKE BIRDS

  • Great video. This really helps describe what Social Media is all about. Thanks for the amazing graphic description of Social Media. I hope you do more like this.

  • All the next generations are FUCKED

  • Good video - but have some questions on the data:

What are the statistics for the social media usage of the different generations based on: What's the source and what are actually the numbers shown: total percentage ?

  • This is my independent company. I have been in marketing and social media for 5 years for agencies and I'm now taking my own clients.

I am interested in feedback on the video or your thoughts on using social media for PR and promotion.
