Why do people insist on adding dogshit music which spoils an otherwise good video. Musical preference is a personal thing, and I'm sorry, but Robbie Williams is 'Dogshit'

@markowina Lots of cylinders and tiny engine sizes were allowed then. This formula usually yeilds quite radical power numbers. Look at modern Formula 1 racing. 2.5 liter V10's making 700hp @ 20,000rpm. Rules and cost did not apply then. Today, with unlimited funds, some radical engineering, and ablolutly no practicality, I'm sure a 25 or 30 hp 50cc engine could easilly be produced. Cheers, D

@snowbox22 Actually, the 1966 Honda RC116 twin made 16hp at 21500 rpm and the Suzuki RK67 made 17,5hp at 17300rpm. Its powerband was so narrow that it needed a 14-speed gearbox. Apparently, Suzuki even developed a 20hp 3-cylinder 50, but never raced it because the FIM changed the rules: starting in 1967, 50's could have only 1 cylinder and 6 speeds.

they use al lot of gears and were capable of tuning them so that 50 cc pumped out about 14 hp(correct me if wrong). That and the fact they weigh less then the drivers, lets them go so fast.

in 1971 gingen ze ongeveer 180 maar later gingen ze al over de 200 en het record staat geloof ik op 222 op naam van Henk van Kessel.
