I wrote this song as a tribute to the victims/survivors of the recent Japan tsunami. We'll keep praying for them. I have relatives and friends there who, by God's grace, are all safe. Being of Japanese descent, I find a connection to these people who are victims of this calamity. It just pisses me off whenever I hear other people say that they deserved what happened to them. Because no one does. Nobody deserves to live that way, to go through that kind of anguish. No one deserves to die that way. Not even the most cruel beings on Earth. We all have equal rights in this world.
The writing plus the recording took about 4 straight hours. The lyrics and tune was done by me, but the music was done by Martin Quezon, a friend of mine. Sorry for the lousy quality of my mic. I promise to replace it. SOON. :P This is actually a collaboration, but we actually took the time and opportunity to record separately.
JSYK: An hour or so after finishing recording the song, I lost my voice. Haha. Thank God I was able to record it while I still had some of my voice left. :D
