Testing the 3/4 Elliptical blade VAWT

Test of my elliptical blade VAWT. The blades have a chord of 8 long and 3.2 inches thick. The outside back quarter of the ellipse is removed.

What did you use to connect the blades to the generator. Maybe you should use some connections inbetween every arm. You can do this at the top side. Underneat you can't because the generator is on that side.

Less woblle means more power. I 'm pretty sure thats where most of your power is lost. The tighter you make your structure the better it will perform.

Yes the people on the wwVAWT.net suggested that I make a triangle between blades and that might help.

I think you are correct on the pole taking up a lot of the energy. Maybe try something a little more rigged and you will likely improve your speed. Maybe by a lot.
