@ThePokemonJD It really depends on how you're paining them. Fluff-wise, Dark elf horses are black; There's two methods I've found that work well for black horses- Undercoat with chaos black and drybrush with Adeptus Battlegrey, or undercoat with Adeptus Battle grey and give several washes of Badab Black

I use the citadel paints. I used to use hombrol oil paints, but the citadel paints are much easier to work with
