iPod Touch Advert - Parody

**Read all of me!!
Using Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas Pro 8, The Carpool Crew's BrettJay created a parody advert of the iPod Touch commercial originally created by Nick Haley; mainly targeting it for it's ludicrous price tag compared with the storage space.

This entire video was created FROM SCRATCH using the Apple iPod Touch self guided tour footage and Haley's original version as a point of reference; Brett even went as far as to download the high-resolution, 250MB zip file of the iPod Touch tour off Apple's website (on dialup) to make this=.

I wonder if Apple will pay me to make it into a full advert (like they did with Nick Haley)? :P

Please fanboys, both pro and anti mac, this is not flame-bait, and so don't treat it as such; it's satire :P

And to reiterate, this video is modeled closely to resemble Haley's original, but is NOT his; I synced up some scenes to match, and used the same clip of 'My Music is My Hot Hot Sex', but that's all :)

Hey, thanks, but that wasn't even my hand :p

Like I said in the comment description, it's based off of Nick Haley's original video (but nothing is copied directly), which is comprised of footage from the iPod Tour; if you google search "Apple iPod Touch self guided tour", that's the video I used.

I was going to film my hand and chroma key it in (with the middle finger), but I didn't have adequate lighting or background to make it happen. So to reiterate, all from the iPod self-guided tour.

when you have your hand infront of the white part add more blur to the chroma key effect to make it smoother

That's not my hand though; it's from the iPod Touch Self Guided tour - although thanks for the tip. The advert this is parodying is made by Nick Haley; as was the music choice. I just made a cynical advert that closely resembles his :)

i disagree, the ipod touch is superawesome! its not just for rich people... i got one in 8 gigs on black friday, and i get to open it on my bday in 22 days. the video display is gorgoeous, so is the speaker sound, the games r amazingly fun... i bought it for when i have to go on long trips, its all i need! music... games... movies... audiobooks ...dude, even wifi when u get the chance! its pretty dang great if u think about it!
