Michele Ivey's "Cowabunga Corner" #59

Hey everyone,

Welcome to episode 7 of Cowabunga Corner Season 3. In this episode I talk about the Mirage "City at War" Comics. It's just an over all review about the comics, I will do issue reviews later more where I'll get the chance to talk about the artist, and what happens from issue to issue. Just figured this was a good story and deserved a cover blog for it.

For those who don't know City at War is the last story arch in Mirage Volume 1, it started coming out in 1992 and was written by Eastman and Laird. The Turtles return to New York and end up teaming up with the Foot Clan to defeat Shredder's Elite Guards that are still causing trouble in the city. Casey Jones runs off and gets married and his wife has a child. April goes and stays with her sister Robin. And Splinter meets up with the Rat King. Over all a great story arch with a lot for people to enjoy.

@shellshock638 Same reason we got "Fast Forward" with the 4Kids series. Suites who think that they know better than what the fans are already enjoying want something different, sell different toys ect... so they change the feel and style of the show. At first I thought it was going to be cool.. as I liked the 1994 season, but when they brought in Dragg and Carter I found myself really upset with the series. It became the Carter show. But Carter was so not liked that a toy never came out.

@turtlegirlivey I just picked up 8 issues of the city at war series, they were bought from eastmans personal collection and all signed by him too! some of my fav issues!
