The Pilgrim's Son - Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWjL2YsIOiQ

Here it is! Part 1 of the final film with my Pilgrim characters. It takes place 5 years after the previous film, Derwin and Helen have had a son named Miles and there is another child on the way. But danger is lurking about, for an evil spiritualist of the nearby Pokanoket tribe foresaw doom upon the land unless Miles was sacrificed to the spirit of a mighty storm. Hobamok, a follower of the spiritualist, vows to find the child and sacrifice him to the spirit of the storm. Meanwhile, Derwin sets out to find some Red Bass for Helen, since it is unwise to deny a pregnant woman something that she's craving. Trust me!

Viewers don't have to watch my previous Pilgrim films to understand this one, but a familiarity with the previous stories will enhance the enjoyment of this final film. Especially since I included some parallels and nods to the first film.

It's really funny how this series has come about. It started 4 years ago with a simple Thanksgiving film which I never intended to make a sequel to, and now it has spawned my greatest film yet. I wrote the script to this film in the summer of 2009 and I intended to release it for Thanksgiving of '09, but because For Trubador was keeping me busy, I never got this started. However, waiting until June of '10 to start gave me enough time to craft this film exactly how I imagined it, which is a rarity with my animations. I'm always rushed when making a film, because, for some reason, every film I make is either holiday themed or contest related. But with this film I had the time to add extra scenes and dialog as I was making it and I was able to include everything that I originally wanted. I personally view this as the biggest thing I have ever done, even outside of my animations.

I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do and I wish everyone watching a happy Thanksgiving!

  • @Char920onUtube The forks and knives are from an old Playmobile set. I'm pretty sure the set was from the Victorian theme.

  • Captain bulldog, I've watched this 17 times and seen no flaws! U and your team are AMAZING, and you set design is ingenious! I'm going to write up a message to forrestfire101 say," Sure, you're a great animator, but can U keep people watching, like captain bulldog, without swear words? I doubt it, and all I need for captain bulldog is a good story line, and I'm hooked. A few gunshots, special effects, amazing voice talents! Can you do that?" I LOVE YOU GUYS, u are so talented!

  • @Char920onUtube Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. By the way, I don't want to brag but I don't have a team working with me. If I did have other people working with me, this might have been over 40 minutes long.
