What if my dad owns a billion dollar company that employes 5000 people? He passes me stuff before he dies but then he dies , that company becomes owned by the government and that 5000 people become state's employers?

I see it as a wonderfull idea exept that point that seems kinda unclear in the video.

Thanks for watching and thinking about it. There are ways your dad could arrange to have his company sold to teams of investors or converted to an employee owned coop(mondragon) or passed along to you, before he dies, retaining control up to the end if he wanted. It was unclear, I had to leave the question open ended, as there are so many approaches! Hope you are right on technological singularity!!

So my dad would be able to give me everything he owns if he's still alive? So i don't see the point , somebody will just give everything to his childrens before dieing and keep a large enought sum to live happly the rest of his life.

ps: if you wonder about the technological singularity i suggest you a book "the singularity is near" by Ray kurzweil, trust me it's wroth it :) [i think you can find a pirated e-book version somewhere shhhh xD]

There's a gift tax, or income tax on those transfers, but much less than current inheritance tax would be so they get a deal! So the POINT is, Once you have a few billions from Daddy now, you spend, and hire, and have to worry if you get hit by a bus, so YOU start giving while alive to friends and family, See? We all start keeping a large enough sum to be happy the rest of our lives, and bestowing the excess!!!!!

Yeah agreed , but some people still are greed per-se . Or they don't care about greedyness but they just accumulate money as some sort of "score" after the first tens of millions , ofc they give out to their children but they don't care a lot of the rest. Anyway it's a good idea good luck (i live in italy and my friends are dumb in english otherwise i would have shared it on facebook i'll try to share it to my anglophone friends :D )

Yea... people just don't think like that. So the system will hit a wall when the grow economy model can't grow no more because the planet is finite and so are its resources and recovery times. Companies will try keep earnings up by replacing people with machines, which will create big unemployment. When people finally don't have anything to lose... French revolution all over again.

If only our specie was just like 30 IQ points higher on average, we could breach the stupid hording monkey gap.

Oh and more benefits with less taxes (i agreee on that point , our ACTUAL tax rate is arround 60% - but ofc neo-communists want more) and less public debt.

Oh and i've to point you a problem : longevity is booming , we are really likely to reach the technological singularity in 2050 maximum 2060 , at that point money would not be really a iusse but anyway this thing can be ok to fix the system as it's now but it won't last long :)
