Led Zeppelin: All My Love (With Lyrics)

Should I fall out of love, my fire in the light
To chase a feather in the wind
Within the glow that weaves a cloak of delight
There moves a thread that has no end.

For many hours and days that pass ever soon
the tides have caused the flame to dim
At last the arm is straight, the hand to the loom
Is this to end or just begin?
* Chorus: All of my love, all of my love, All of my love to you. (repeat)

The cup is raised, the toast is made yet again
One voice is clear above the din
Proud Aryan one word, my will to sustain
For me, the cloth once more to spin

Chorus

Yours is the cloth, mine is the hand that sews time
his is the force that lies within
Ours is the fire, all the warmth we can find
He is a feather in the wind

Chorus

  • @Danjoker619 Are you fucking kidding me? Every moment of the day is the correct time for Led Zeppelin.

  • The song is not 'for' his son, it is 'about' his son but 'for' his wife who Plant neglected during touring! Plant was about to perform on stage when he received a call to say that Karac, his first son, was dead aged 5. Plant's devastating emotional loss was later channeled into this epic poetic masterpiece which focused on rekindling the 'fire' with his wife while always remembering their son as 'the feather in the wind'! Kind of beats Eminem rhyming a few words together to curse his mum hey!

The thing is, every previous generation looks down on the next one, especially when it comes to music. My parents dont think very highly of some of the modern kinds of music I listen to. But at the same time their parents didnt think very highly of the music they listened to when they were younger.

I'll fully admit that the charts are often filled with easy, generic hit-material popsongs. There's still plenty of clever, deep and emotional music though.

Music can influence people to do bad, but people who are actually being influenced by it are often people who are easily influenced when it comes to things like that. If it truely had an effect that is universally present, we would have noticed by now.

  • @drsinghb Yes, well the song is great indeed and to answer your question, after the dead of Karac Plant and his wife brought up a new boy thats the whole "redemption" and "giving new life" :) . But since you have asked about it i guess i have to accept it :)

  • @can0mark Fair point bro, no worries! Don't actually hate hip hop or any kind of music and don't judge by genre but only songs themselves! Taste in music is obviously personal and no one opinion should matter to another! My point was to demonstrate my personal opinion to a modern generation that many artists today considered as geniuses and who seek apathy in their music are often a pale comparison to a bygone era in which music was genuinely deeper, more emotional and cleverly written!
