Big Brother TMOT, I love the way you broke it down! my heart goes to this sister. I HAD to take some time to pray for her. Sometimes you have to cut your loses and move on because her looking for love from those people is going to be detramental to her health. There are plenty of people who would adore the opportunity to call her sister, daughter, and one day when she is married, wife.

This poor girl is not an embarrassment to her fathers family. The true embarrasssment in this situation is the sorry father.
How pathetic for a man to talk to his daughter in this manner. This pitiful excuse of a man, does not deserve the love of this girl. To the wronged young lady, these people do not deserve your friendship or love.
Remember, living well is the best revenge. Shun them, you have your entire life ahead of you. Your future is in the future, not the hurtful past.

It's not where you start but where you end up....I grew up with a hardworking widowed parent, financially responsible, by in the moral sense a WHORE MONGER AND ALCOHOLIC. I cannot control what my parents do, but I could control what I did, I went to college (with my parents help) kept my head high and moved out of that environment when I was financially able to do so....people try to throw my parent's behavior at me.....just ignore and take care of YOU.......DO THE BEST FOR YOU!

I agree. The parents are suposed to be the "grown ups" in the situation yet they tend to act more childish than the out of wedlock kids.

What is obsession with having kids in wedlock. Marriage is an artificial social ritual created by humans , it does not necessarily have anything to do with associating with the right soulmate. Out of wedlock births are common in sweden and I don't think the swedish have the same social problems that african americans seem to have. What makes you think that all of the social problems would go away? You can marry the wrong person , my parents are an example of married incompatable individuals.

Have as many as you want by as many as you want. I would never stand in your way. She asked for my advice, I gave it. I am certainly not obsessed about it. It is a CHOICE I chose to make.
