Both cars are without engine. The test is about the building quality of the body. See a slightly different version of this test on "123video". At least in this version you can see both crossbars were in and both engines were out.
CptSchmidt, you have a point there....I was soooo surprised with this outcome,I have a Volvo 850,Volvo is 1 of the best car manufacturers, mine has 400.000 on the clock, drove 1 year without a single penny on her....sorry but those French cars are POS IMO....
i agree with you CptSchmidt i had a 1985 volvo 740 gle and i personally hit two telephone poles trying to drift it... stupid i know but i rebounded off of both of them and managed to only lose one blinker lens lol great cars alltogether. i would take another volvo any day!!!
They took the engine out of the Volvo. They also took the aluminum front crossbar. That is evidenced by the footage at 2:01. The cross bar would have either broken out of the left side of the Volvo's bumper or it would have torn through the Renault. As you can see, there is no crossbar because neither happens.
At 2:15, you can tell the guy is reading something that you know Renault paid him to say. It sounds more like a Renault press-release than anything else.
Whoever has a Volvo sell it now before it´s too late...before they transform such a fine brand into a pitiful chinese POS car. Too bad there was not somebody else than Geely with the big pockets to keep Volvo in good hands.
